Carol and kids, Dave left an indelible impression on all of us. I love the passage in your writing where you speak of him being "larger-than-life"...that is how I will always remember him That and how we was such a devoted and loving family man. The world was a more interesting and enjoyable place with him in it.

We can hardly express our sadness at the loss of such a charismatic and wonderfully frendly gentleman! As an in-law he was kind and welcoming even when things went wrong. It is sad to think of the world without his presence in it. He will be happily remembered for the good times shared. To Dave's family while the next few years will be tough, please know we care. In time tears of sadness will turn to smiles of pleasure whenever you remember your husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and indeed friend to all fanily and strangers alike.

I am shocked to read of the passing of Dave. I know he had health problems the last few years, but still the same, it is sad to see them go.
